Rocco: Officially Adopted!

Our amazingly sweet senior boy Rocco has officially found his forever ‘retirement’ home with Passion 4 Paws’ very own founder/director Andrea and her family!

Rocco, a.k.a. Rockstar, Rocky, Rocket man, Rock Hudson, The Rock, and Rock Around the Clock is now “off the market” and settling in with his new mom and dad Andrea and Michael, who have pledged to provide him with the best life possible, however long that may be. He’s also been welcomed into the pack by his new dog siblings, Jules, Cash, and Max (all former e-listed dogs as well).

Before finding his forever family with Andrea and Michael, Rocco was saved by Fighting Deadlines Rescue after being e-listed at PACC a little over a year ago and transferred to P4P shortly after where he remained in board and train with our partner trainer Amanda Jansen. While Rocco made great strides with training and maintained a great attitude, long term boarding was no place for an older gentleman to spend his retirement in.

His new family is going slow and giving Rocco time to adjust to living in a home setting again. They’ve been mindful of his history of resource guarding and have been watchful for that behavior as they want Rocco to be as successful as possible. So far, Rocco has been doing very well, has excellent leash skills and absolutely loves his super comfy orthopedic bed. 💙
